Course Description
Great businesses are built on strong research. In Module 04: Research, you will learn how to explore, evaluate, and validate your business idea before moving forward with confidence.
This module begins by examining where business ideas come from and how to identify opportunities within real-world problems and emerging trends. You will explore the concept of the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and how early research supports smarter testing and development decisions.
You will be introduced to powerful analytical tools used by entrepreneurs and organisations worldwide. Through practical guidance, you will learn how to conduct a PESTLE analysis to assess political, economic, social, technological, legal, and environmental factors that may impact your business. You will also create a SWOT analysis to evaluate your strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, alongside a competitor analysis to better understand your market position.
The module also focuses on researching new technologies and analysing the current business landscape. You will learn how to assess trends, evaluate available tools and resources, and apply structured thinking to refine your idea. Through quizzes, exercises, and submission tasks, you will actively apply your research to your own business concept.
By the end of this module, you will have the research skills and analytical tools needed to assess your idea thoroughly and make informed strategic decisions.
